Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actor for more than twenty years. Anna Gunn is an American actress. She has also played Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn, born 1968 in Sante Fe New Mexico fell in Love with Acting in the Preparatory stage before moving with her family to Ohio. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna started her acting career in Chicago-area theatres for a short time. Then she moved to film and television. In 1992, Anna was offered her first big part in the role of Arden in the series of 29 episodes Down the Shore. Following her appearance as a Guest Star in several TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld and NYPD Blue in the 90's, she was cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. The mid-2000's saw her was cast in Deadwood playing Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. She also starred in the Deadwood film and Sully. Gunn was on stage to star in David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers. In 2022, Gunn also played in a 4-part audio-play podcast called "Numbered Days". Breaking Bad revolves around Walter White's relationship with Skyler. Walter White's life tale and the tension in his relationship with Skyler is mirrored in the series.
